Rod Iliffe is the man many people call on when they need a solid, reliable and talented musical director for anything from a rock band to a full orchestra. He has worked extensively in theatre and concert venues and has composed and arranged rock, pop and incidental music for both film and television. As well as an accomplished teacher and lecturer, Rod is an amazingly versatile vocalist, pianist and multi-instrumentalist. His theatre work has included Chicago, Godspell, the Broadway version of Pirates of Penzance, the Little Shop of Horrors, Chess and 42nd Street, and Rod has also worked in pantomime, variety, dance and club bands. In amongst all this activity, Rod has found time to form Alter Ego, a highly respected and original modern folk rock band, and to write and arrange many original works for plays and sketches both by himself and in collaboration with composer Kendal Kirkland and author Ian Florence.
