Gloria started her singing career at the tender age of eleven when she landed a part in a national production and became their lead child vocalist. At just fourteen, she formed a five-piece band called High Voltage and entered numerous youth talent competitions all over the country, winning first place several times. After several other bands ranging from rock to country, Gloria was taken under the wing of Brett Harris and started touring all over Europe and the UK promoting Brett’s worldwide hit, Typically Tropical, and subsequently won Stage and Television Today’s Best Female Entertainer award. Gloria then teamed up with another female vocalist/dancer and was signed to Chesney Records in Kent with an excellent songwriter Bill James. She did a lot of recording around that time but did not quite get that lucky break to propel her into the big time. Never one to sit around, Gloria then formed her own 10-piece band from scratch and once again set out across Europe working with The Rubettes, Mud and various other 70's bands. Just one of the unexpected pleasures of this was touring Holland with the cast of Coronation Street! She followed this with a very successful recording partnership with Barry Elliot which included a number of TV commercials for a major company. As well as her first musical love, Debbie Harry and Blondie, she sings with Trilogy as part of a trio of female vocalists that faithfully recreate the challenging harmonies of the Andrews Sisters.
